BORN THAT WAY OR CHOSE THAT WAY?

What a contrevsial topic. No, I do not accept the lifestyle but I do accept the people. But this is not what I really am getting at here. What I really wanted to talk about is whether or not homosexuality is in fact a choice or is it innate?

I've talked to a couple and they all say the same thing. "Do you think I would CHOOSE to be gay?"

Although for the most part the question is rhetorical, I'd have to say no.

Why someone would choose to be an outcast and the object of ridicule is beyond me. However, I find it hard to believe that someone could possibly just be "BORN" that way.

Im gonna go get spiritual now. My personal belief is that homosexuality could possibly be the result of some kind of generational curse or by some kind of demon. Yes, I believe in demons. I fight my own everyday. However, another part of me believes that it is a choice. I know a couple of people who choose to take part in homosexual activity just b/c they "like it." But thats my take on it.
I've had this discussion with my brother and he seems to think it has to do with something in the chromosomes or something that makes the inner core of the child (their mind) all mixed up with their gender or something like that. I really don't know. But I'd really love to hear some opinions on the situation.

I'd like some light to be further shed on the topic.

THE GOD QUESTION

We all talk about it at one point or another in our lives.

Either u believe or u dont.

As for me, there is no doubt in my mind that there is a God. If u look outside ur window u should automatically know that something greater than u and I exist. The world around us functions with such accuracy and precision its impossible that something on this great a scale just "happened". The world is like a huge clock... but there had to have been a "clock maker"... do u see where im trying to go here???

Anyways, what I really want is a RELATIONSHIP with GOD. Forget all of the extensive religious tradition (u cant do this, u cant wear this, etc) ... The Creator and His written word= all I need to know. Whatever is wrong with me, HE will show and convict me and I will know it in my spirit and then it will be up to me to either follow or not. Then HE will judge me. We get too caught up in judging others and coming up with all of these rituals and traditions and things that probably don't mean too much to God. What I believe he really wants from us is a RELATIONSHIP. At least that is what is most important to me. No, I have no crossed every "t" and dotted every "i" but as soon as I'm ready to give up all of the things He wants me to I'll get there... in Him.
I grew up in the church and live under the roof of a pastor so I was taught these things but now that Im older Im learning everyday that I just KNOW that I KNOW for sure. God shows himself to me in many ways but I want to hear from you guys out there...
I really would like to hear your opinions and thoughts ... please feel free to leave a comment here. U do not have to have a blogger account to do so. It would really mean alot to me. Im very curious.

SOLEDOUT NYC III... WACK!!

[ For those of you who don't know what Soledout is... it is a sneaker expo/trading event. ]

Please do not be deceived by the photos. Sure we look ultra happy and excited. That's only b/c we enjoy each others company. I really didn't want to go after the disappointment of the last one however, my pal Brent (Art head who customizes kicks. He's nasty www.myspace.com/brenty2nyce) needed some company so I came thru. Anyhoot... not only was there nothing there for ME to purchase but there were lots of ugly in the faces in the vicinity. And on TOP of all of that, no one was really buying anything. Lots of window shoppers.
I applaud the creators of this event for milking us for 10 dollars and getting people's money to set up display tables. It would be a wonderful event if the people that came there weren't so ridiculously CORNY and broke! Majority of them came to show of their dino jrs (btw... those are corny now and way played out)
Oh well...

Lauryn Hill @ MLK Series Concert

"Lauryn Hill arrived more than two hours late and performed an uneven if not memorable set on Monday night at Brooklyn, New York's Wingate Field as part of the free Martin Luther King Jr. Concert Series. The enigmatic singer, overdressed for a hot summer night, showed up at 10 p.m. for the scheduled 7:30 show and ran through a number of her more popular solo and Fugees hits — but often reconfigured them into unrecognizable scat chants. Hill told the audience her sometimes-inaudible voice was hoarse, but her tone improved as she continued. Hill closed the show with her Grammy-winning "Doo Wop (That Thing)" and then immediately exited after thanking the 10,000-plus people who showed up for the park jam. ... "

Lets hear it first hand from someone who too was there... ME! She looked crazy as hell. (View photo for reference) It was 1000 degrees and she decided to drape a cow across her back and addition to a long sleeved blouse. Brilliant! After showing up extremely late I was ready to toss a shoe at the stage ... and then she began to sing and I fell in love with her all over again. Yes, the show and performance was a bit... different. I will admit that. She did a number of scatting and hit song re-vamps... turning slow songs into upbeat rock tunes and things of that nature. It didnt bother me as much as it bothered other people. Alot of people arent fans of scatting and things like that so it was understandable that some of her fans got up and left. However, hoarse or not, her voice was beautiful! She sang "ex-factor" and I wanted to melt in my undies. Crazy or not, she remains one of my top favorite artists of all time.
