FAITH

Mat 9:27
And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, [Thou] Son of David, have mercy on us.

Mat 9:28
And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.

Mat 9:29
Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.

Mat 9:30
And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See [that] no man know [it].

5 novels and counting... and my new rap obsession lol

Synopis
Lisa and Darrell Canfield are in search of the perfect spot to build their dreamhouse. They each have a daughter near the same age from their first marriages and a set of adorable twins. In addition, Darrell's mom is moving with them, thus, the large house they have planned will be perfect. Just as they give up on finding the ideal location, they discover a spot near friends and begin building. All is well in their lives as they look forward to their new home. Across town, Brad Bentacourt is a bit sick of his wife's freeloading family. He wants to convince his wife, a stay-at-home mother, that they should move closer into town--and away from her family. When an opportunity presents itself and a recently built house is available for a quick sale, he jumps at the opportunity. Though he has to convince her at first, once they see the house, she loves it and they soon make the purchase. Unbeknownst to them, they have purchased the house next door to the Canfields. To add even more drama, Lisa is Brad's ex-wife. Yep, you read correctly. Brad and his new wife have moved next door to his previous wife. Want more drama? Well, the new wife isn't happy about the idea of her step-daughter being so close to Brad and does her best to hide it from him. The previous wife loves her current husband, but feels that what Brad has, should've been hers. Can someone say D-R-A-M-A? Author Bettye Griffin melds an unbelievable scenario full of nosey neighbors trying to out-do each other, arguments between the new wife and the old, lessons on unruly children, and situations revolving around social status. She also touches on some major issues dealing with blended families. Through the crazy incidents, the author's wit, and the various characters with all their flaws and misgivings, THE PEOPLE NEXT DOOR is an enjoyable read. It showcases lessons on familial love, dealing with others, and learning from the lessons of the past.

Synopsis
LaShondra Smith has a successful ca\reer, a supportive, outspoken family, friends who are always there for her, and a strong personal walk with God that nourishes her spirit and gives her the confidence to face anything. She just wants one more little thing: a man. Make that a strong, sensitive, Godly man like Boaz in the Bible. And oh, he should be African-American. Sure, she successfully deals with all people as vice principal in one of Dallas's largest high schools. And she knows God's word on loving all mankind. But she has also been hurt and has learned from those experiences-and much advice from others-that black folks need to stick together and marry their own kind.
Then LaShondra meets an engineer named Stelson Brown. Caring, conscientious, and endowed with an intelligence and sense of humor as devastating as his looks, Stelson is both secure in his faith and convinced that Lashondra is the strong, sensitive, Christian woman for him. But he's not exactly what she had prayed for. Suddenly, LaShondra must not only deal with the reactions of her friends and family, but face the hidden prejudices and attitudes she never realized were part of her, Now, as she struggles to reconcile her past experiences, her fears, and what could be, she must decide what really matters when true love and faith are at stake.

...Here and Now by Kimberla Lawson Roby

You would never believe it! For the first time, i finished an entire novel in ONE day... well I started from the second chapter but there were like 29 of em lol. Really good book might I had. I mean, I couldnt help but to keep reading. Before I knew it, i was looking at the final chapter. Well it is now 4.33 am---> maddddd hours spent with my face n that book. But it has me trippin a little bit. All those deaths and things got my mind a little disoriented. I'll be alright though. Well, thats about all for now.... Oh no it isnt. (Private entry awaits)

A Wonderful Pastime

I LOVE READING!!!! Books just take me to another place. I love it. I love the fact that I can imagine things as I want them to be. From the faces of the characters to how they sound. You can't do that with movies. Im so glad I have all of this free time to just sit in my house and read all night long! When I start my job I wont be able to do this so Im getting all I can in at once lol. Im on my third book in three weeks. Im on a frickin' role! Nehooo... these are the books I've read so far.

The bestselling, Blackboard Award–winning author of the enormously successful A Taste of Reality spins a riveting tale about a philandering preacher that readers will love to hate.
Curtis Black might be a man of the cloth, but with his irresistible looks, seductive charm, and charismatic personality, he's particularly beloved by his female parishioners — and almost every other woman he's ever met.
The trouble is, Curtis is married. At first he tries to resist temptation, but not for long. His insatiable appetite for women quickly gets the best of him. Overwhelmed by his sizzling love affairs and busy trying to convince the deacon board of the need for an ATM in the back of the church, Curtis has his hands full. Meanwhile Mariah, his second wife, is slowly discovering that beneath the tranquil and loving facade of their marriage a storm of lies and betrayal is about to rage.
Not to mention that Curtis's already shaky relationship with his teenaged daughter, Alicia, has reached the breaking point. Feeling neglected and unloved, Alicia searches for solace in the arms of a stranger, and before long she finds herself in a dangerous situation.
Eventually, the women in Curtis's life find that with a little careful planning — sneaky and otherwise — they can help Curtis reap the punishment that he so richly deserves. In this captivating and dramatic sequel to Casting the First Stone, Kimberla Lawson Roby, with her trademark wit and insight, sets sparks flying.

Set in the South during the 1960s, Church Folk tells the hilarious story of a young pastor and his wife who try to hold their congregation together despite its members' foibles... (Not gonna tell much about the book...If u go to church or kno nething about the church ull laugh alot and like it alot)

So I've just started this next book (its pretty good too. I read over 130 pages today and Im still going... Just needed to give my eyes a rest. lol)

Brilliant and vibrant, Marcella Jones had the whole world in her hands, until she gave her heart to the wrong man. Tyrone was handsome and charismatic, but he left her destitute, raising two small children alone - and yearning for the kind of life her dead-end job will never provide. Marcella's elder sister Racquel, lives in a fine home, has a fulfilling career and the love of Kevin, her handsome, successful, supportive husband. Yet her desperate longing for a child is driving her into a deep depression and away from Kevin. In the tradition of Waiting to Exhale and Big Girls Don't Cry, Here and Now is the poignant story of two strong, intelligent women facing tragedy, surviving loss and terrible sorrow, and ultimately learning that only with each other's help can they heal the hurt and celebrate the joy in their lives.

Its cuz Ima V I R G I N...

Mr Sosoo: understand something..................................
Mr Sosoo: when a guy pushes up and doesnt see the green light, hes gonna run away or lose interest chaun
OoHsHeRuDe516: ohhhhhhhhh dats wat it is
Mr Sosoo: the green light is a shot at getting ur poom poom
Mr Sosoo: we've got needs chaun
OoHsHeRuDe516: nice n deaded
OoHsHeRuDe516: thanx for clearing that up for me
Mr Sosoo: this is going to happen to you a lot, but this is good for you because...............
Mr Sosoo: it helps you find the real from the fake
OoHsHeRuDe516: it does happen a lot
OoHsHeRuDe516: everytime it happens
OoHsHeRuDe516: im used to it
Mr Sosoo: youll be alright
Mr Sosoo:Mr.Right will stay and wait
Mr Sosoo: and not pressure you
OoHsHeRuDe516: I guess so
Mr Sosoo: its tough being a girl right
OoHsHeRuDe516: no
OoHsHeRuDe516: a virgin

Being a virgin and a girl with standards/morals is more difficult than anyone could possibly imagine. Think about it. Having to meet guys, find the time to start really liking them and then the time comes to get down with the "get down" and he finds out that ur a virgin who isn't interested in letting him beat. Now what happens... u guessed it. New Nigga /Same Scenario. Things really don't change. In all my almost 18 years of living I haven't really found a guy I deem worthy of having me in that way. Half these girls don't really understand my reasons WHY I dont do some of the things they do. They truly never will. But I am a tough girl and my shell can't be broken without my consent. Thats just the way things are. There is only one person/friend right now that I know of who can identify with me. Well 2 if u count celibacy. In my opinion, It doesnt TOTALLY suck. The only part that sucks is when u really like someone who can't deal with it. But thanx to a nice little chat, I've come to the realization that niggas will be niggas and I can't change that. Thats where I think I kept messing up. Thinking I could be the one to break the cycle based on other things. Guess u really can't. If Mr. Right comes along, Thank u Lord... If he doesnt, Thank u Lord nehow. At least I KNOW I aint pregnant lol.

[if itz such a good thing, why do u guys keep running away?]<--- not rhetorical. Feel free to respond.

Just Writing...

Geesh... I havent been here in a long time. Oooh I know wat I can discuss! This whole sk8r/vintage movement. OMG!!!!!!! Has to be one of the most annoying fashion eras ever in life! So many people hopped on this one. Never in life did I think looking like a NERD would be considered "cool" or "fashionable" lol. I'm not even hating on the people who originally were like that and was all up on the dunks and blah blah blah and buy the REAL stuff... but those followers tick me the hell off! (I been a sneaker lover since my toddler days so hop off me!)

I peeped this one girl who tried to go for the "non matching look" and just ruined it. EVERY PATTERN DOESNT GO TOGETHER SWEETIE!!! She thought she was DOING IT! lololol.

Nehooo... Enuff of this talk, Im getting angry writing about it. Lets talk about boys. BOYS = STUPID... THE END hehehehe

Sike nah there aint much to them for me as of now so lemme jus end this blog here. I gta get started on my presentation. Ezzzzzzzz

Friends... but why??

So what exactly is a Friend?

friend
( P ) Pronunciation Key (frnd)n.
A person whom one knows, likes, and trusts.
A person whom one knows; an acquaintance.

Ehhh... yea whatever. Knows, Likes, Trusts... I dont know about that trust part. I can't throw that word "friend" around so loosely. My friends are my mom & my brother then. Probably the only people i can FULLY put trust in. But who needs friends when u got ur trusty laptop?? J/p. But like seriously people got me twisted. Just because I go to the mall with u doesnt make us best friends. Yea, u cool people but I'm not about to crawl up ya rear. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE to hang around good people and politic and socialize. Thats not a problem. But some people just get too close too fast and wind up getting their feelings hurt in the end b/c they THOUGHT they knew that person oh so well and they didnt. People carry alot of baggage and cause lots of drama and I will NOT be involved in it. All that he say/ she say is a little too corny for me. Alot of girls talk all this "I dont run with girls, they talk too much." No, idiot, people talk too much. Boys do it too *if not more.*

Ya kno somethin' else I noticed about people. They like to tell all their business then get mad when everyone knows. I keep tellin niggas... these people are NOT ur "friends." Sometimes you have to know who you can and can NOT tell certain things to. (Don't tell me cuz chances are, I dont care. Unless its like some suicidal issues. THEN and ONLY THEN will I care) Well, all I can really say is experience is the best teacher. "Fool me once, shame on u. Fool me twice, shame on me." Stop making "donkeys" outta yaself.

-The End

Seems like that thought jus came out the blue right? lol. I was just observing behaviors and relationships ppl have with one another and it all just dawned on me lol. Hey, I miss my Mo Mo. Okay beat it kidz.

"The Bachelor" --> Falling in love

So, I was watching "The Bachelor" and for the first time I saw myself in someone else. Many of you may know Moanna from the show. She was one who had the most difficulty in opening up to Travis. Afraid of being hurt she stayed in her shell. Once she gave this man all she ever had and became so vulnerable she recieved the ultimate smack in the face when he chose sarah over her in the final episode.

Moanna = Me.
Of all my friends there are very few who has not experienced this great joy of being in love. I guess I kind of blame myself for this. I never have opened up to any male I've ever been with. I've been too afraid of rejection. I mean, when I open up to someone, I too become vulnerable and at risk for hurt. Rejection hurts the most when your heart is in it. That has to be my greatest fear. REJECTION. So I guess I may have turned guys off because they may have expected more from me or wanted more and I just couldn't give it. I want to give it. I want someone there to love me as much as I love them. I want to be able to love someone with all my heart. I want to know what it's like to be in love. I just find it extremely hard to open up fully to someone. Maybe I'll meet the perfect guy who can teach me how to love. Show me what love is. This is my hope.

Valentines Day

Yea so technically speaking, yesterday was valentines day... big whooop! I've been called a hater and bitter several times by several people and I'd just like to give a big "HOP OFF ME" to all of you.

So we all went out to dinner right.... *why did i go? I knew I shoulda stayed my behind right in my room doing my homework*. So we go to LI to Don Juans. 1st of all, it took us like 20 mins to get seated. NO EXAGGERATION, almost 2 hours to get our food. We sat next to a constantly opening and closing door making it highly uncomfortable and cold. The waiter... knew what he was talking about... THO! And to make matters worse, the NIGGERS i came with all nice & left me to pay off the rest of the bill. Horrible experience. But you know what I say, experience is the best teacher. I've been taught alright.

Im extremely irritated and bored outta my mind. Good Night

  • Finally finished reading "The Darkest Child" by Delores Phillips. *Wow is all i can really say. That book is filled with shocking and breath taking moments. I'd reccomend this book to all. Step outside of the the typical *hood novels* and read a ficitional tale full of substance

Well, Im off to bed. Peace.

I thought I met the guy who had everything I was ever looking for
Sad to say, he came up short in other areas that mattered to me
Since I couldn't change him I had to let him go

When it comes to matters of the heart, would u compromise who you are for the love of another or do u simply believe that if it was true love they should be accepted as they are.

I personally believe that if changing for this person puts you in an awkward position and you feel as if changing will jeapordize your true self, then it is best that the two not be together. I wanted him to change because I thought it would be for the better. My best isnt always the best for another.

Question

What happens when you finally get a hold of something and u have to struggle to keep it? Do you let it go and say "well, its not worth the fight" and find something new or do you endure it because it is worth the fight?

... Thats something i ponder everday of my life and I'm leaning towards just letting it go for good.

Boys....DOGS!!!!

I want to begin this particular blog with this famous quote. All women know this one...
"Men Are Dogs!"

After a short discussion with my roomie (Aids-dae)... I've come to the conclusion that majority of men are in fact animals. Monogamy isn't even a part of their vocab. I personally feel that they should all go to Mars, screw eachother, and get Aids and die! All the good ones who believe in commitment can stay. I truly don't get it. If you say you love someone, why is it so hard to just be with them and them alone? If you find something better just end the other relationship. Cheating hurts much worse.

No, I am not a victim but i know many girls who are. Don't get me wrong, there are some shady chicks in the world as well (i know this)... but this kind of behavior is most common amongst the male gender. Why?? If any men can answer this for me, I'd be more than happy to listen

Good night
